Where to find free pallets?

Pallet.pngMost Bunnings stores will happily provide you with free pallets whenever they are available. Just speak to one of the helpful team members in the Timber Yard at your local store and they will be able to point you in the right direction.

To avoid disappointment, we always recommend to give the store a call before visiting to ensure they have supply.

Pallets come in a variety of shapes and sizes.

Clever and creative Bunnings Workshop members have used recycled pallet timber in a wide variety of different projects. For ideas and inspiration, check out our Top 10 most popular pallet projects

@Ericmilo,

I should have also encouraged you to check out the member profile stories of two of our leading pallet project creators @LePallet and @Yorky88. I'm sure Rylie and Marty would be more than happy to share some tips with you for getting started if you'd like to let us know what kind of project you'd like to start with.

Re: Top 10 most popular pallet projects

Hi Jason, Thanks for the Bunnings suggestion.  Yes we use the local Bunnings quite a lot for just about everything.  In fact will be buying a Camo hidden fastener kit for the new decking.  Sadly in regards to best weather treatment for real WA Jarrah the local guys cant help. with this issue so I am hoping to garner some comment maybe from WA bulders who are familiar with WA Jarrah. Cheers.

Keep up the great discussion site.

G'day @MadMix.

You can look at Gumtree, Ebay and Facebook Marketplace and search as close or as far as you wish from your location.

Good luck!

Great to see you make your first post on Workshop @MadMix. Welcome to the community!

Have you seen this long-running discussion? https://www.workshop.com.au/t5/Outdoor/Pallet-D-I-Y-projects/m-p/2069

There's some helpful pointers about obtaining pallets and recycling them. @ProjectPete and @Yorky88 might also want to share some tips as they have loads of experience with pallet projects and live nearby.

Re: Top 10 most popular pallet projects

Hi all

I have been looking through all the great ideas on pallet projects but couldn't find any bbq trolleys to sit my new bbq on, I was hoping to make something with double doors. Has any one done this?

Cheers

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community Christine  (@Christine2).

It's great to have you join us and fantastic to see you jump straight into the discussion. I haven't personally created a BBQ trolley out of timber before but I look forward to hearing what our helpful member's ideas are. Let me mention some knowledgable members @Poppop, @r23on, @woodenwookie and @LePallet to see if they would like to share their thoughts.

We look forward to hearing more about the projects around your house and garden and I trust you'll find loads of inspiration for them within the community. Please let us know anytime you need assistance or have something to share.
