Hi all,
I am after a small retangular light which can shine downwards over a small artwork 200mm x 200mm.
Ideally it can stick on the wall and be recharged and under $100.
Any ideas?
Hello @BigFan
I recommend having a look at the Arlec 20W 1400lm Rechargeable LED Work Light and the Lytworx Remote-Control Battery-Operated Puck Lights. These light fittings can be hung, arranged to hang down using angle brackets or use hooks attached to the wall. The other LED lights are either too big or not applicable to your needs. However, I strongly suggest visiting your local store so that you can have a good look at the LED lights available.
Let me call on our experienced members @Dave-1 and @Noyade for their recommendations.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Hi @BigFan,
I know what you are after because during COVID I created Al's Workshop (while away the lockdown hours in my workshop) offering mainly silhouette picture night lights but also other stuff like illuminated property signs etc. If OK with the workshop guys goto:
https://www.facebook.com/AlsWorkshop
Most of the lights were LED backlight and for larger ones I supplemented with above lighting and depending on time constraints either made my own or bought them. Here is one example:
That one is on Temu less than $20 bucks.
Google keyword searches 'Artwork lighting' or 'Picture lighting' etc.
Interested in your artwork could you post a photo.
Note: These days Al's Workshop is dormant.
Cheers
Good Evening @BigFan
I am hopping there is a chance of a photo of the wall and artwork
I really like how light can take something thats good and bump it into next level looks just by changing the lights colouring (warm/cool)
Have you wanted down the rear of the lighting aisle into the USB powered lamps? There are some that are very classy and fitting to be around artwork.
Have a look at my foyer project, in particular the last few pics of step 6, There are two different types of usb rechargable lights I picked up from bunnings, and one touch the light temperture changes, touch again and its warmer and then again and its cooler.
Front door and entrance foyer update
I cant find the two I have, one is a LED rope in a glass tube, subtle lighting glow
The other is a stand with a light that shines down.
They may be short run lamps, however they do seem to have new versions always turning up, Depending on your artwork, you could have a high shelf with one of these shining down on the artwork below, Ikea have great bookcase lights (in the project as well) but they are mains powered.
The latest little light I have bought is a push button light, looks like this Lytworx Warm White LED Motion Sensor Light but I have to turn it on and off (going to use it next to the front door so I can find the key slot lol) But the sensor one would be brilliant (yes I see the pun) for your artwork ![]()
The pic would certainly help with some lighting ideas ![]()
