Hinged BBQ wall

Kind of a Big Deal

Hinged BBQ wall

The Barby is in an enclosed area.

I decided to make a hinged wall adjacent to it for fume removal, light, ventilation and some atmosphere. In storms I can lower and lock it.

I can extend it to nearly 90 degrees to the roof but that takes some muscle grunt. Three large fence gate hinges hold the weight.

These days I keep it partially extended....

Hi @Noyade

Thank you for sharing your barbeque area. Your pot and pan hanger are awesome. How about adding some heavy-duty gas struts to help with the lift?

I'll look into that Eric. It is very heavy - over engineered. 🤔
