wondering if you guys had plans for it. He built it in a Bunnings Store.

we have got basic dimensions but a wondering what he means by adding a cleat to the legs to add finished covering. Thanks in advance.

Morning @marier

"but a wondering what he means by adding a cleat to the legs to add finished covering."

The "cleat" is for a better looking finish on the leg area, with the boards 'trenched' into the leg...as I understand it.

Looks like a good project.

Rough cost?

Re: barbecue buddy

Hello @marier

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about the BBQ table.

It's great that you've received excellent advice from @Noyade. I've placed another sample image below to give you a better idea of the cleats purpose. As Noyade mentioned its purpose is to "trench" the boards giving the cover a professional finish rather than being mounted on the front of the leg itself. Please allow us to make a few inquiries regarding the plans for the BBQ table. As soon as we have more information, well get back to you.

Thank you for your patience.

Eric

Re: barbecue buddy

Hi @marier,

As this is video content, it appears that no plan has been created for the assembly. Please let us know if you are having any issues with the construction or have any questions.

Re: barbecue buddy

I feel certain Adam decided too quickly - and walked past, in my opinion, a better barbeque choice - the 2-burner Jumbuck and the associated trolley in the background. It even comes with two removable preparation/storage wings.

Then again, if he did, he wouldn't have had a Better Homes and Garden segment for that night. 😁

To my eyes - the esky takes up far too much preparation and storage room.
