How to build a base for a chimenea?

I bought a chimenea that does not sell the tiles for this product. I have the sand for the base but I need a tile base and I dont know what to buy and how to cut without buying more tools. Any suggestions?

That looks a great pickup @Noyade. Love the option to cook wood-fire pizza's. Much better than my stone in the weber for flavour. 

My fireplace @David12 definitely gives off great heat as mentioned being coreten steel. Plus the chimney design which I particularly wanted keeps the smoke away once up and running.
