Hi,

just wondering the best way to fill these gaps between the concrete wall and eave. It’s quite small in some parts then the gap is quite big and large in others.

any advice would be appreciated.

TIA

Re: How to fill holes between concrete wall and eave

Hi @cs6,

Thank you for your question about filling gaps between a rendered wall and your eaves.

As your eaves appear to be pine lining boards, you should be able to screw or nail into them, which makes this repair reasonably easy.

I would grab some external timber trim that is large enough to cover the gap, possibly something like this 31 x 31mm Treated Pine DAR, and attach it to the eave hard up against the wall.

It could be screwed or nailed on, then the fixings could be covered with Spakfilla Heavy Duty Interior And Exterior and the seam against the eave and wall could be sealed with No More Gaps Exterior Gap Filler before priming and painting.

This would be a relatively simple solution to the problem.

Allow me to tag @Dave-1, @DIYGnome and @Noyade to see if they have other ideas.

Let me know what you think.

As per Jacobs@'s thoughts above.

Would quad be big enough to work?

Good Morning @cs6

Im going along the same route as @JacobZ and @Noyade  with some sizing of timber to cover the gaps.

30 x 30mm 5.4m Moulding H3 Treated Pine FJ Primed Scotia LOSP

I was looking for a more rectangular piece but this works as well. It comes down to the look you want.
