Re: folding door hinge

Hello @josephh

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your folding door hinges.

You'll notice that your hinge has a rounded fixing bit at the bottom and a hex nut on the top. I suspect that you need to use an Allen key to remove the bottom part of the pin of the hinge. This will allow you to slide the hinge plate off the hinge pin. But just to be sure can you please post a photo of the bottom of the hinge pin so that we can confirm that it is indeed a hexagonal shape. This means that you'll need an Allen key to remove it, please remember to turn anti clockwise to loosen the pin.

Let me call on our experienced members @Dave-1, @TedBear, @JoeAzza and @ProjectPete for their recommendations.

Please remember to wear personal protection such as gloves and goggles when working on your hinges.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Eric

Re: folding door hinge

Hi @josephh , I think your 2nd photo of the three confirms what @EricL is saying. There is a hole in the bottom of the pin to take an Allen key.

Re: How to fit a folding door hinge?

Good morning @josephh

I think @EricL and @TedBear have both hit on the same thing as I have for that hinge. I havnt installed a folding door but working backwards in my mind on how it would go together leads me to the same point.
