How to update a Colorbond pool fence?

Hi guys thanks for the add we have updated our pool area and have an old colour bond fence standard size 2400mm wide x 1800mm high panel to panel but it has faded in some sheets and have a fence covering idea.

I am wanting to add an outdoor wall paper mural and would like to know best wood sheets that are the fence dimensions, with no joins if possible so the wallpaper sits flush that is also suitable for outside conditions. I will be giving it a white paint before wall paper goes on as well so what outdoor paint is best to use? and lastly a seal to use over mural for longevity, have heard you can do this? Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @kelmal94. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about pool fencing.

That’s quite a large panel, and finding wood sheets that span the full 2400mm x 1800mm without joins might be challenging. Typically, wooden sheets aren't ideal for outdoor use unless they're marine-grade plywood or similar. Even then, these would need to be fully sealed and painted to withstand outdoor conditions. Cement sheeting could be a more durable and weather-resistant option, as it's better suited for external use.

For outdoor paint, Dulux Weathershield is an excellent choice as it’s formulated to withstand harsh weather conditions. After painting, you can apply a clear acrylic spray paint to the mural to improve its longevity.

Thanks ☺️ for quick reply l wasn’t sure l would find something large enough. If l wanted to do a paneling like this picture instead or around a smaller sheet for wallpaper and paneling either side what wood would be best for outside would paint it but just wanting the best for maintenance for outside or any other options helpful for DIY fence covering . For panelling like the picture, it would probably be easiest to install a few horizontal timber battens between the upright posts of the fence and then attach the wood pieces to that @kelmal94. With timber panel products, marine-grade plywood would about be the only option.

The other option is paint the colour bond fence, you dont need to cover it. This is just soft broom with soapy water then gurney the surface. let it dry then hire a airless sprayer and paint with metal paint. you will need a few bottles of turps to thin and clean lines afterwards.
