Looking for help on which product to buy to help me solve my two problems
Problem 1 - the drainage on the roof gutter is blocked. I've tried spraying a garden hose into it but no luck. Any suggestions on how I can unclog it?
Problem 2 - With the drainage hole being blocked, water is now escaping on the gutter connectors. Is this an easy fix by applying silicone inside the gutter itself? If so, can you recommend me some products?
Hello @Pete112
Thanks for sharing your question about your blocked gutter. If the blockage is very compact, I suggest using a Metal Mate 6.3mm 1m Galvanised Steel Round Solid or similar to push the debris out of the way. Once you've made a head start, I recommend using a Kinetic 6mm x 6m Wire Drain Auger to remove and pullout the rest of the blockage.
In regards to the connectors, I recommend applying Selleys 290ml Grey Storm Waterproof Gutter And Roof Sealant on all the gaps and joins. For a good positive seal, I suggest making sure that the gutter is dry before applying the seal.
If you are using a ladder, please have a quick look at this guide - How to use ladders safely by @Adam_W. I also recommend having a look at this guide - How to maintain gutters and roofs by @Nailbag.
