Pot plant shelf

This was a fun little build, and not hard to do try out yourself.

Re: Pot plant shelf

That's a particularly impressive-looking plant stand you've created the @LePallet.

What type of timber did you use for it and were there any construction images you could share?

Well done, and many thanks for sharing.

Thanks @MitchellMc

ill have to have a look it I have photos, but issued 30mmx30mm DAR pine for the frame, and standard DAR pine boards for the shelf, which are screwed from the back.

Re: Pot plant shelf

Good looking unit @LePallet. I would like to know how you joined the three way joint at top centre please. I find those tricky without using brackets. Is it just off set screw placements?

Re: Pot plant shelf

@TedBear  Looks like your question was popular and it made me think on how I did it as well.

if I remember correctly there are two ways you can do it.

the back timber obviously goes straight across one piece, the short centre timber is pocket hole screwed from underneath. But you can definitely just use a screw from the back and then a screw going directly done on the centre timber going down the centre of the back.

I also used glue to make sure it will last a while.

Re: Pot plant shelf

Thanks for that description of the screw placements. I hadn't thought of using a pocket holed screw connection.
