Creaky floorboards

What's the best way to silence some creaky floorboards? I'm currently in danger of waking everyone up when I creep around the house at night.

Talcum powder if you have polished floors, supposed to lubricate the joints.
Impact driver and counter sunk screws fixed the squeaks before I put floating floor down.

Had the same problem years ago...Talcum powder fixed it right up..They never squeaked again...

Make sure you apply plenty and brush it into the gaps..
