How to fix a water-stained Colorbond fence privacy screen?

Is there a repair or cleaning option for water stain on colourbond privacy screen?

Removed these painted aluminum privacy screens to complete another DIY task, but where I stored them they became wet and hence the water stains.

Is there an option to clean the stains…. Or am I going to have to repaint?

Water stains should come off colour bond for the most part it is probably lust some mineral depisits out of the water.

Try Cleaning with CLR Calcium Lime Rust remover you might need to do this twice spray it on metal and let it sit will let the CLR work. For 20 mins.

Any remaining lighter stains try some bleach.

Worst case scerio just buy some white spray paint Or any colour you wish to change to .

Just do light even strokes like painting with a brush start spraying (push the button) at the top and stop at the bottom.

Unfortunately neither CLR or bleach worked.

I suspect I am heading down the path of repainting. It’s a rather large area so will need to hire a spray gun.

I’ll keep an eye out for further advice in case something else is suggested

So @KrustyB It didnt work even with a little saoking time? You probably have bleach in your cupboard it should take on a world of staines but maybe not 100%

I would suggest you buy a good quaility every day spray gun that wont break the bank. That way you have it for future projects.

The money you spend on hire is going to be in the $100 range, so an extra $50 is not a lot for a new spray tool

I am going to buy to do my fences with the one below. Just add 10% water to regulaer acrylic paints for best paint flow.
