Hi, I'm posting another question in relation to my original question here about building a base for a Lifetime shed.
I've built the base now and that has turned out well (although took longer than I thought). I've started assembling the shed, but haven't put the walls up yet. I'm just now considering the wind-factor, because we live near the coast and the winds can get a little strong sometimes.
The shed will sit behind our fence, but it's a solid Colourbond fence, and the top of the shed will stick above the fence top. In terms of convenience, I was planning to align the shed with the door facing the opposite side to the front fence (meaning the gable will be facing the wind). I've just been reading about this, and I've read that it's better if the pitched side can face the wind to reduce the upwards pressure.
I could align the shed like this, but it's not as convenient for the door opening.
Just wondering how much of an issue this is likely to be. It will be much harder to rotate once the shed is fully up. BTW, we live in North Haven, Adelaide
I'm starting to think I should have considered this more before choosing a shed with a relatively high pitch, but it's a little late for that :)
Thanks,
Stephen
