How to remove venetian blinds?

Hi team,

I have a venetian blind that doesn't work and I need to remove it from the bracket to fix it and I can't work out how to get it off.

Are you able to help identify what type of bracket this is and how to unclip the blind?

This is how the clips look at the front. I haven't been able to push it back or get a screwdriver in there to release it.

And this is how the back looks.

To me this suggest I should be able to push it back but it doesn't move

It's a tricky looking mechanism, @Kalliste, judging from the photos.

The U shaped bracket at the back has 2 holes that line up with 2 screws that appear to be going into the blind mechanism. I suspect that's so that you can get a stubby or right-angle screwdriver in there to remove (& insert) the screws. Maybe that's what's holding it in.??

I suspect that you have to push inwards where those black tabs are (not on the tabs but next to them) and whilst pressing in, pull down at the front, the back will probably then pull forward to come out completely.

I dont recognise the top of your blinds :/ I have worked with a few square and rectangular top of blinds but not a rounded one.

The most surpprising ventaion removal was a "twist upwards" so grab with both hands and twist towards you type deal. It went in so must be able to be removed is what id keep telling myself and everytime I want to use force I would step away until the urge passes :)

My way of thinking is there is no lateral movement, so that leaves lift of pull down (thats out as you have described your efforts.

So maybe try a twist of the whole length. Or stop into spotlight and have a chat as they ahve a range of blinds as well and may know of the model you have.
