How to stop water from gap between houses?

Question

My neighbours house sits a bit higher than mine and the gap between us is about 15 cm. It runs about 8m long . The problem we are having is when it rains it goes into the gap and into our garage . Not all the time just heavy rain . We are trying to find a solution to what we could put in there but the lack of access is making it hard . Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Has it been this way since construction because I would be contacting the builders to get them to deal with it. If it has only recently started, I would suggest you need to rake out the leaves and other debris from between the houses as this is just the same as a gutter overflowing due to leaves.

Im thinking along the lines of @EricL and @TedBear for sure, To the point of a flexible rubber gutter type deal. Attached to both your roofs with a decent dip in the middle. Something like this Moroday 200 x 1.5mm x 2m Black Insertion Rubber Roll but 300mm wide so you get the U shape going, When installing ing via roofing screws I wiould also make it fall one way so water wont pool in it. If you do this then I would check for cracks every few years just to maintain it.

As a side thought, I would also black off the bottom foot ish of the opening so water cant run into it, tempoed to put say a timber edge vertically between the walls to also stop the rain and debris.
