Hello @kirangill
I'm sorry but the shop saws are not able to cut benchtops as the blades are too rough and will chip the surface of the benchtop. Plus, they are not designed for precision cuts. My best advice is to take into consideration the possibility of cutting your own benchtop by investing in an Ozito PXC 18V 165mm Circular Saw. A very sound investment when doing D.I.Y. projects. I also suggest looking at this guide - How to choose the right power saw for the job by @Adam_W.

Hi, just asking can Bunnings help me cut this product? https://www.bunnings.com.au/2440-x-1220mm-3mm-plywood-pine-premium-bc-grade_p0340267
It is a 2440X1220X3mm pine plywood.
Hello @NathanG
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us.
I'm afraid the panel can't be cut by the shop saws due to its thickness. If it were like 16mm or 18mm the panels strength would be able to put up with the saws power.
But because the panel is not that thick, you should be able cut yourself, I propose looking at investing in either a hand saw or an Ozito PXC 18V 165mm Circular Saw. I also suggest having a look at this guide - How to choose the right power saw for the right job by @Adam_W.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @kraanti. It's fabulous to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about our cutting service.
I'm really sorry, but we’re only able to cut timber boards that are purchased in-store at Bunnings. Unfortunately, we can’t cut previously owned or brought-in materials like MDF from other projects.
If you'd still like to repurpose your shelves, we’d be more than happy to help you choose the right tools for the job. A jigsaw or circular saw can be a great option for cutting MDF at home—just make sure to wear a dust mask, as MDF can produce fine dust when cut. Let us know if you’d like help picking out the right gear.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you Mitchell, I’ve found a way to cut them at a Makersspace.
Im also building a bookshelf and I was wondering if Bunnings could cut the Timber panels I buy in store for my shelves?
Im also wanting to add timber fence to my wall for another DIY project but I want to cut some parts so I can use my plug points. Can Bunnings cut that too? Or can you advise what would be the best way to cut them?
Hi @kraanti
We do cut a variety of timber panels in-store. For specific details on whether our team can perform the cuts you need, it's best to speak with the team member in the timber yard at your local store.

Can Bunnings cut wood to the following size?
If so, how much does it cost?(size in mm) I will need 4 in total
Can all Bunnings stores provide this service?
Do I need to make a booking for the cut?
Should I upload or bring a picture to show the staff?
Once I arrive at Bunnings, where can I find the right person to help with this?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @HG. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about our cutting service.
While Bunnings does offer a cut-to-measure service for timber, it’s important to note that this service is intended to help customers get their timber home more easily—it’s not a precision cutting service. If you're needing exact measurements or any custom work such as rebates or grooves (like the 18mm rebate you mentioned), that would require specialised equipment such as a router, which can't be done on the in-store saw.
For a job like this, you'd really need to engage a cabinet maker or someone who offers professional woodwork services. A local Men's Shed might also be a great option—they often take on small projects like this and may be happy to help.
If you do need standard cuts to help get your timber home, you can speak to the team in the timber section of the store—no booking is required, and there may be a small fee after the first few cuts. Bringing a photo and clearly written measurements is always helpful to explain what you’re after.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

I know bunnings offers a wood cutting service however my question is about the type of cut.
I am aiming to purchase 2 x 2200x600x26mm acacia boards from bunnings however I would need 1 end of each cut into a curve to make sure no sharp corners.
They would be used as a desk top in our living room and I don't want anyone (such as a rambunctious child) running into the corner that's out from the wall.
Many thanks
