1. Upcycled cabinet into bathroom vanity by @Renowayoflife
A large varnished cabinet was stripped, sanded and bleached before being repurposed as a bathroom vanity with new quartz stone top and dual basins. Winner of best upcycling in our 2023 search for Australia's best D.I.Y. projects.
2. Bathroom refresh with large timber benchtop by @tom_builds
Tom cleverly designed his vanity to accommodate his washing machine, using an Acacia panel for his benchtop. A terrific mix of style and functionality.
3. Tasmanian Oak bathroom vanity by @Banyoabode
A sleek floating D.I.Y. vanity made from Tasmanian Oak and complete with soft-closing drawers. Built using mitred 19mm timber and reinforced with hidden brackets, it’s both stylish and cost-effective - saving over $3000 compared to store-bought versions.
4. Upcycling a sideboard to bathroom vanity by @RachelD
Bunnings Workshop member Rachel split a vintage sideboard into two pieces to build a functional vanity and a matching mirror frame.
5. Bathroom refresh with upcycled timber vanity by @sallie24
In a charming farmhouse-style makeover, Sallie repurposed an old TV cabinet into a bathroom vanity. The cabinet was painted, fitted with feet, and topped with Estilo counter basins.
6. Bathroom renovation using VJ panelling by @RCRISP
Using a piece of reclaimed timber for their vanity top, Workshop member RCRISP added a warm, personal touch to their bathroom.
7. Ensuite makeover with upcycled vanity by @DIYMum
Resourceful Workshop member DIYMum used White Knight Tile and Laminate matte paint to refresh her vanity and installed mosaic tiles on the splashback.
8. Upcycled Singer sewing machine as vanity by @Cyclist
A vintage Singer treadle sewing machine base was used as a vanity unit, with the drawer unit installed nearby for storage. A piece of salvaged white marble was repurposed for the basin top.
9. Ensuite revamp using tile paint by @stelz
An old vanity was given a second life using Rust-Oleum Tub and Tile Refinishing Kit to paint the top and Dulux Timeless Grey for the cabinets. Black fixtures complemented the look.
10. Affordable vanity ensuite by @Nham
In this cost-effective project, Nham installed a narrow vanity unit and added a medicine cabinet to maximise storage space.
11. Budget bathroom makeover using paint by @arielsturdy
A feature wall with VJ panelling and new mirror complemented a low-cost vanity refresh using the Dulux Renovation Range.
12. Cosmetic bathroom renovation by @diy_hausdesigns
A small project that made a huge difference. By painting the vanity and framing the mirror, experienced Workshop member Rufaro made his bathroom a more inviting space.
