A side table can make a gorgeous addition to a bedroom, living area or patio and is an achievable project for D.I.Y. beginners.

1. Travertine side table by @sammilne 

 

Samantha glued three travertine pavers together to create this stylish side table.

2. Tiled side table by @lifestylebymari 

 

Mari constructed this side table using MDF and then covered the panels with tiles.

3. Concrete-look side table by @grounded_design 

 

Workshop member grounded_design created a clever concrete-look finish to keep this side table light and easy to move around.

4. Oak dowel side table by @lifestylebymari 

 

Mari created a side table using MDF and covered it in Oak dowels, finishing the design with jute rope around the half-circle trim.

5. Marble side table by @sammilne 

 

This marble table is a fantastic beginner project with no tools required. Samantha secured hairpin steel table legs to a marble paver using construction adhesive to create a side table that looks great both indoors or outside.

6. Hourglass side table by @lieselroberts 

 

Liesel joined two garden pots together and spread a thick mixture of grout and paint to create this attractive hourglass side table.

7. Side table with terrazzo top by @sammilne 

 

Samantha repurposed round chopping boards and a terrazzo tabletop to create this side table and covered the base with Tasmanian Oak half-round dowels.
