Kaboodle cabinets, a bamboo benchtop, new flooring, a large cement twin tub, and a wooden ladder for hanging all helped to transform a laundry, adding storage, working space and creating a modern style.
The project
We wanted to maximise space, add storage and create a feeling of calm. We added Kaboodle cabinets and a bamboo benchtop for storage and as a work surface. We also hung a timber ladder on the wall for drying and replaced the tiled floor with vinyl planks.
Steps
Step 1
Removed the old laundry tub and resurfaced a double cement tub using Dulux Aqua paint.
Step 2
Removed hot water heater and put outside.
Step 3
Lifted up old tiles and replaced with vinyl planks.
Step 4
Added Kaboodle cabinet with Bamboo benchtop. Allowed one end for laundry hamper.
Step 5
Attached a timber ladder to the wall for drying.
