Got to be the drill, although there is a lot of work coming up for my new plunge saw,

I reckon these days its Allen keys. You need them to put together almost anything and everything.

The drill is the most-used tool among the Workshop community, with 50 per cent of respondents in our latest poll nominating it as the item that gets the biggest workout in their toolbox.

Secateurs were the next most common choice, obviously from those avid gardeners in the community.

I agree with many of the previous posts, my drill is always in use. But my wife says it's the band aid box.

.Bit of a toss up actually..When I'm making something I have my drill and nail gun side by side..So if I'm not drilling I'm nailing..

My battery brushless Hitachi Framing Nailer (now Hikoki I think), then my Ryobi Brushless Drill in close second. Oh I forgot the good 'ol hammer!

the most obvious , a tape measurer , you need to know where and how big the hole has to be , or how big material you need.

I love my drill, too. But I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I ALWAYS have a Phillips head screwdriver on the go - and I get through a few, by leaving them in different places. I think with old caravans, there are screws everywhere - doors, windows, wood panels, kitchen, lights, everywhere!

3 months ago, I would have said my brushless cordless drill, however since that time I purchased a multi tool and have found it to be invaluable for a large variety of renovation tasks. My tip here get one with a quick change tool attachment it is so convenient and worth the extra money in time saved.

That's very interesting, @KevinMall! I've always considered getting a multi-tool but have never made the investment. I've heard quite a few good things about them, and I think I'll look at purchasing one in the near future.

I was hoping someone would include the good old Philips screw driver, because its the most used posi drive in any drill, no doubt about that

It's funny what we take for granted, isn't it? I had to remove and replace an old door that had flathead screws in the hinges. They had a bit of paint in them and were almost impossible to remove. There wasn't even a question on whether to use them again or not. I simply switched them out for posidrive.

Hey all...so,i'm new to all this here,but here i go...my most favourite tool is the good ole trusty hammer....good for banging nails into some wood when i'm in an aggrivated state of mind,next most favourite tool is my cordless drill

Thank you for sharing your choice of tools. I totally agree that a hammer and a drill are some of the most used tools in my own toolbox. You barely notice sometimes especially when you are driving the nails back into your fence or when you are hanging a picture. The same thing goes for the drill when you're reseating the screws on a decking panel.

Id have to say my tape meausure, Think I have three or four? but still manage to need another somewhere on a job lol Its the most used and beaten about tool as it constantly gets stretched just that little too far before it kinks.
