For over a decade, clever and creative Bunnings Workshop members have been sharing their inspiring home improvement projects with our community.

This year’s most popular projects are typically innovative but very achievable, even for those with limited budgets or D.I.Y. experience.

Please let us know if you need a hand replicating any of these popular projects in your home and garden.

1. Outdoor steps with pavers and pebbles by @SMJGGT

Pavers, pebbles and drainage gravel were used to create a pathway for a steep front yard. The objective was to maintain correct spacing, comfort and visuals.

2. Courtyard makeover with planter pot plunge pool by @Starfishlane

A large planter pot was sealed, waterproofed and tiled to create a bespoke plunge pool as part of a 4m square courtyard makeover with timber joinery and paving.

3. Outdoor kitchen using Kaboodle cabinetry by @meganp83

Kaboodle cabinets, benchtop tiles and timber acoustic panels were utilised to transform a formerly empty space and create a bespoke covered outdoor kitchen featuring a barbecue and fridge. A mounted television finished off a wonderful outdoor entertaining area.

4. Blackbutt parcel letterbox by @Herrenovacation

A stunning Blackbutt timber slab installed on a concrete base helped create a bespoke letterbox . The Sandleford Parcel Letterbox was utilised which is large enough to accommodate parcels.

5. Flip-top multi-functional workbench by @DIY4Knuckleheds

Pine timber framing and Plywood were used to build a flexible workbench to incorporate a table saw and mitre saw. The mitre saw can be flipped and stored underneath the bench when not in use, freeing up working space.

6. Craft room using Bunnings shed by @MERLBROWN

An old garden shed from Bunnings upcycled and converted into a craft room with built-in desk and storage shelving, exterior deck and a stable-style door. A two-year successful transformation.

7. Front yard makeover with arbour and paving by @Kn140964

With the goal to modernise the facade, create a low-maintenance garden, and build an outdoor entertaining area, this front yard makeover dramatically increased street appeal and amenity. It features a new path, stacked-stone pillars and arbour to complement the rendered and painted house exterior.

8. Backyard transformation with low-level deck by @nvdshams

A comprehensive backyard transformation with low-level composite deck, artificial lawn and new drainage built. After receiving expensive quotes, it was tackled as a first D.I.Y. project.

A steep, uninviting and unusable backyard was totally transformed by landscaping and creating new stairs, paving, garden beds, decking, fencing and lighting.
