Re: Protecting Bamboo from UV

Hello @Morrie

Thank you for sharing your question about how to protect bamboo from UV rays.

I recommend using Bondall 1L Satin Monocel Gold Marine Clear Timber Varnish It's an easy to use, brush-on coating that provides maximum durability, colour retention, and longevity for exposed timber surfaces. It has superior adhesion and is highly resistant to solvents, chemicals, abrasions, and yellowing. I suggest putting a coat on the back of the bamboo as well. This will protect the bamboo from moisture damage both from the front and back.

Are you modifying one of your fences? Any updates you can provide about your project would be much appreciated. Our members would be more than happy to provide advice and information should you need it.
