  • Measuring and marking where to cut
  • We had the pieces cut to size, some quad for extra support, and a base to help everything stay in place while we put it together.
  • We had fun working out where each part went.
  • We did some gluing
  • We did some screwing
  • We added some dowel perches
  • We glued supports from scraps onto the roof peices
  • We nailed them on, and when it didn't work, we pulled the nails out and tried again
  • When we got the roof into position, we used clamps to hold it in place while the glue dries and filled the gaps with scrap wood.
  • We used some scrap plasterboard angle spray painted BLUE to cap the roof peak.
  • We think it looks great.
