This milk cart planter using recycled pallet timber holds potted plants and creates a wonderful garden feature.
I found a way to make wheels for a milk cart planter with the minimum number of saw cuts. Set the compound saw at 22.5 degrees, and over at say 45. The 22.5 needs to be correct, but by turning the wood over after each cut, any error is negated. Timber that comes in short lengths are handy to use.
To show how well-matched the join is, screw together from the sides. Spokes are attached by screws from the outside and recessed into the wood.
Use leftover pieces of the pallet to create hubs.
Two pallets for the body.
Cut to form a base at the second ridge.
Cut axle holders.
Use whatever is leftover from a pallet to create the ends and a seat for the driver.
Finished and set up in the front garden ready for potted plants.
