How to revive Kangaroo Paw?
Two part question
1) my diamond kangaroo paw after a very wet winter/spring/summer is looking discolored, cause for concern? Sandy loam on clay soil. Well fertilized
2) what is this patch of fungus? Looks ike spew but isn't

Hi @amichaelmedia,
It sounds like your Kangaroo paw is fed up with its wet roots and suffering from them. Planting onto a clay base is really not good for natives, and at a minimum, the soil needs to be mounded up before planting to raise the roots above the clay layer. I suspect you would have much better luck planting into large containers. Here's a helpful guide: Planting, growing and pruning Kangaroo paw.
Great description of the fungus. I believe that could be Fulgio septica, otherwise known as dog vomit slime. Great name, huh! I'd scoop it up, including the surrounding mulch and pop it in the bin.
