How to save a damaged Silver Princess tree?

How to save a damaged Silver Princess tree?

I recently discovered our Silver Princess had split into two at one of its main branches. I had to cut the broken section off and since plants aren't my forte, I am wondering if I need to coat the split end with anything, or is it best left alone.

I wish to avoid losing the rest of the tree as it is well established.

Hi @TedBear

I suggest using Brunnings 250ml Steri-Prune Sealing Paint, it's specifically made to cover up damaged on trees or cut branches. If it's not available on the shelf, you'll need to order it at the special orders desk.

If you need anything else, please let me know.

Thanks for that suggestion @EricL . I'll look into getting some.
