Do you need to seal bare plaster before painting?

Long story short all the paint completely came off wall in huge pieces and now the wall is back to the bare hard plaster. The walls are masonary with a render/hard wall plaster. Before painting I know that I need to seal the plaster first (Dulux Sealer Binder) but do I need to also use a Primer after the sealer before the top coats?

Re: Painting Plaster

Hi @kj2801,

You're correct that Dulux PRECISION White Sealer Binder is the correct product to use. No additional primer is required over it before top coating with a water or oil-based topcoats.

Here's a helpful step-by-step guide: How to paint a room.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
