Food grade bucket and lid.
Cut windows on opposite sides and tape edges.
Cut off 1/3 of the lid.
Insert as a divider if using 2 types of food.
Pellets on one side.
Shell grit on the other side.
Easy access for the girls. Less mess. Yes, there is mess, but I did that to get the girls attention.
Made a basic frame off the side of an existing raised bed.

Draws air from 4 sides, filters inside and blows out the top.
Chose a spot that will get all day sun.
Removed all tape and plastic from the cardboard. Set it out to shape, with overlaps to stop grass and weeds coming through. Hosed it down and soaked it.
Next was a layer of straw. This is mid way and then that got a hose down as well.

Alfresco extended out with decking boards, fence palings and mesh wire to keep chickens out.

Chicken wire protects wood chips, pea straw and pine bark from being scratched up by the chickens.
