I have a hedge of Murraya that is on a east facing wall, so gets all the morning sun. The leaves keep turning yellow and falling off and some leaves develop brown patches. I have thought that it is a nutrient issue so I have been putting slow release fertiliser and manure in the soil and spraying fertiliser on the leaves. But this year it is no better. I'm now starting to wonder whether it is a different issue? Does anyone have advice please?
Thank you so much for your suggestions! I really appreciate the support.
I'm having issues like this all over my garden now - it's very frustrating.
My garden bed around the Mock Orange bushes is mulched - so do I remove all the mulch too? It's too hard to remove the leaves and not the mulch. In which case, how do people mulch and not have this problem?
I applied the liquid copper yesterday and within the hour we had a small rain fall. Does that mean it was all washed off or does it get absorbed into the leaves?
We have under ground watering so the only water that falls on the leaves is from rain.
Thank you again!
Hello @CarolynD
I suggest moving the mulch away from the main trunk of the plant or tree. This will allow the soil in the surrounding area to dry up and get rid of the excess moisture. Because it rained, it effectively washed off the copper spray. I propose spraying the plants again, but please make sure to check the weather to avoid the rain.
