Re: what is this on my rose leaves

Hi @Bennn,

From your image, it looks like your roses and cherry tree are being affected by spider mites. The fine spiderwebbing between leaves is a classic sign. Spider mites are tiny pests that feed on the plant’s sap, leaving a speckled, faded look on leaves, and they often create very fine silk webbing around the leaves or stems. They thrive in hot, dry conditions and can spread quickly between plants.

To manage them, you can start by spraying the affected plants with a strong jet of water to knock them off, especially under the leaves. You can also use horticultural oil, making sure to cover both sides of the leaves. Regularly checking for early signs and keeping the area around the plants clean can help prevent reinfestation.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Mitchell
