Hi - I purchased the Holman irrigation drip line and followed the installation instructions on the package. Everything works fine except for the Holman inline flushing valve which is fitted at the end of one of the poly tubes. Online it says that the flushing valve should automatically stop flushing out water, however water never stops flowing out of this valve on my set up. Not sure why this is happening.
When I unscrew the cap, I can't see anything inside the valve that would automatically block the valve from flushing out water.
Would you have any advice?

The valve works on pressure. When the line is pressurised, the valve will close and block the end, allowing your irrigation line to distribute water along its length. When the pressure drops, the valve opens and drains the water out of the line.
For it not to function correctly, I would presume the pressure in the line is not meeting the requirements to close the valve. There could be a couple of reasons for this. The first is that the tap is not turned on high enough. So, try fully opening the tap to see if that is the issue. The second issue is that there could be too many outlets on the line. With excessive outlets, the pressure in the line can not build up and close the valve.
That being said, the easiest option here is to remove the valve and replace it with a 19mm or 13mm inline tap. You would leave this tap closed under normal operation and then periodically, perhaps every couple of months, open the tap and flush out the line. There's no real need to automatically flush out the line after every use, and if the valve is not working as intended, I would just remove it from the system.
