How to replace hot water system hose?

The hose on the hot water system is leaking, it's an 8 x 300 mm flexible hose. I have a spare as in the photo, can I use this one or do I need a special one for the hot water system?

Re: Hot water system hose replacement

Hi @tigerzen,

While they appear to be much the same hose, I would be hesitant to say yes or no simply because of the risks involved with hot water systems.

It would be best to contact a plumber for their assistance, even if it is just to ask whether it would be ok or not.

Allow me to tag @Nailbag for his thoughts.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Re: Hot water system hose replacement

Hi @tigerzen

The type is correct  but it needs to be a hot water one as there are specific ones that have a max working temperature (and pressure) rating. Cold only go to around 50deg while hot around 120deg. If yours doesn't have any specs rated, I would buy a new one.

Thanks Nailbag, I suspect it's only for cold.
