Bought a Bestsoon 30m retractable hose but it does not seems to be able to connect to my garden tap.
I attached also the picture of my garden tap and also the bestsoon connector.
What do i need to buy in order to connect? Thanks a lot!

Hi @Ericlim,
A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question.
Is the issue that the hose connector is too small to fit over the thread on your tap?
If so, try rotating and removing the outer ring from the end of your connector.
It's likely that this will reveal a larger diameter thread that you can use to attach it to your tap.
If this doesn't work, can you please measure the diameter of the thread on the tap and the diameter of the hose so I can recommend a replacement hose connector.
Let me know how you go.
Jacob
Hi Jacob
I had an old tap connector which I then connect to my garden tap and then I try again to connect to my garden hose but unfortunately, it still does not work.
I attached the pictures and also pictures of both the diameter of hose valve and also the tap.
Do I need to change the whole tap?Diameter of garden tap
try to fit garden hose to garden tap (after added in connector)

Thanks.
Hello @Ericlim
Your current plastic blue garden hose adapter should work with your current brass fittings. You'll notice on your current brass fitting the garden adapter is still attached. I suggest pulling the center brass body down to release the garden hose adapter. I've placed an image below to give you an idea of what the configuration looks like. It's very likely that the blue plastic will work with your brass pieces. Please do not be alarmed, it should work with the vacuum fitting currently attached to your garden tap.
If you need further assistance, please let me know.

Dear Eric
Thanks. I will give it a try later when its not raining. In case it works, is there a brass version of the blue adapter? My current one looks a bit worn out as its been under the sun for quite a while.
If so, please let me know the specs etc so I can identify it at my neighbourhood Bunnings store.
Thanks again.
Hello @Ericlim
Your brass garden adapter has two sizes attached to it. All you need to do is remove the top ring and you can use the next set of threaded screws underneath the top ring. I've placed an image below to give you an idea of how they are joined together and how you need to take them apart if you need to use the bigger size.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Dear Eric
Many thanks. I think this will work as once I took away the top ring, it can be "screwed" to my garden tap.
Kind regards
Hi @Ericlim
Please keep us updated with your progress, we look forward to seeing your garden hose connected and ready for use.
Eric
Hi @EricL
Now the hose can be fitted either directly to tap or using the blue connector. However, when the tap is switched on, water is leaking out from the sides. What seems to be the problem? I could not attached the video I took. But when connected with or without the blue connector, water is "leaking out" from the joint.
Kind regardsConnected to tap without blue connector but water can be seen gushing out from the side
Hello @Ericlim
It appears that the hose adapter is not tight enough to produce a positive seal. I suggest removing it and re-screwing the hose adapter to the garden tap. If the adapter becomes too slippery to handle, I suggest using multi grip pliers to turn the adapter. Please note that the adapter must turn willingly and without too much effort. If it takes too much effort odds are the adapter is not screwed in correctly, forcing the issue will result in the adapter cross threading.
My other suggestion is to use your original blue plastic adapter as it appears to fit much better than the brass piece that you currently have.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
