Just discovered mould on the outside surface, painted Id say dont know what its made of wood etc, I am in a rental so want to make sure I clean it right. How would I clean it , do I need to climb up or can it be done another way??
Hello @juliegreen1960
Thanks for sharing your question about cleaning mould off your painted wall. I suggest testing 30 Seconds 5L Outdoor Cleaner Concentrate, I propose testing a small section of your wall to make sure that it is compatible with it and is not too chemically strong. Please note that this is a concentrate and must be diluted before use. I recommend using a Silvan 5L ECO Hand Sprayer to spread it across the surface.
Once the surface has been sprayed, I suggest using Oates Massive Four Post Squeeze Mop to clean the painted surface. When the surface has been moped thoroughly rinse it with your garden hose and then use the mop to dry out the surface and remove excess water. Make sure to rinse the mop head before using it to dry the surface.
Please note that if you are using a ladder have a quick look at this safety guide - How to use ladders safely by @Adam_W. Please remember to wear personal protection such as waterproof gloves and goggles when spraying the cleaner.
