How to fill gap between footpath and driveway?

Hello Experts,

Need your advice here… I have grass growing on footpath gap between concrete and my driveway. I did applied weed killer multiple times but it keeps re-growing after some time. Could you please provide solution to fix this permanently. I thought of removing and cleaning that block and put quickset cement but then my neighbour said it may give cracks to your driveway as there is purpose of that gap so that driveway can contract during different wethers. My driveway is 4 years old already so not sure if that implies to my driveway.

Thank for reading long post.. awaiting for valuable suggestions.

Re: How to fill gap between footpath and driveway?

Hello @vikrantnarvekar

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about filling the gap in your driveway.

Your repair theory is halfway there, I suggest digging the soil out of the gap and putting in a roll of Moroday 15mm x 5m White Gap Filler Rod. Push it down to at least 10mm deep and then apply Sika 300ml Concrete Grey Sikaflex 11FC Purform to cover the gap. Should you happen to over fill the gap use a plastic scraper to spread the sealer over the gap. Sika Purform is a fast curing, pure polyurethane flexible sealant and adhesive which is perfect for this application.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Eric
