Hello @jrscott
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about fascia painting.
It's always best practice to paint both sides of the fascia. This will add an extra layer of protection to the timber when exposed to the elements.
Let me call on our experienced members @Dave-1 and @Nailbag for their recommendations.

Good Morning @jrscott
Firstly Id like to say Welcome to the Bunnings Community pages
Perfect question really. It has an easy answer I think, For the longitivity of the Facia or really whatever you are painting, a little more I find is far better to spend as down the track at the point it may start to wear/rot, thats the point you are pushing further away.
Dave
Hi @jrscott
My recommendation is to not to buy an Oregon facia as thats replacing a rotted one with one that will rot again. Albeit well into the future.
Stick with what is standard these days being H3 treated pine which is already primed both sides. When you gut it to size, just ensure you prime the open cuts. No need to paint unexposed sides.
