Hi I have a clothes line which is currently held up by concrete posts.
i want to relocate it to be situated on my house wall, i believe it is blue board.
Would this be possible given the weight put on the clothes line? What hardware would I need/ precautions to take.
Hi @Samc1234,
Have you got any photos of the clothesline that you could share? I am assuming it is a similar style to this Hills 26m Single Folding Clothesline. Would that be correct?
Fibre cement sheeting alone would not be capable of supporting the weight of your clothesline. If you wanted to mount it to the wall of your house, it could not be connected to fibre cement sheeting; it would need to be connected to the frame behind it.
Do you have a timber or steel-framed house?
What are the mounting points on your clothesline like?
Can you identify the location of the framing?
The specific characteristics of your situation will determine the best method, so if you can upload some photos of the clothesline and the location where you are hoping to install it, I can have a look and offer recommendations based on them.
Let me know what you think. I will assist further when you can provide further details.
