How to remove paint from rendered wall?

Hi, I want to ask how can I clean paint marks from the outdoor render wall.

That little different color mark needs to be removed. Is their anyway I can remove that. I tried thinner but not going.

Re: How to remove paint from rendered wall?

Hi @engrfaisal_896,

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

Unfortunately, removing paint from porous surfaces, like render, is not exactly simple because the paint soaks into them.

In your situation, abrasive removal, using something like an angle grinder, is really the only effective way to remove paint.

Realistically, as abrasive removal would require you to repaint the render anyway, you would be much better off just painting over it.

If you had some spare paint, this would be ideal, but if not, you could head in store, grab a few colour cards that look similar, take them home to compare with the pillar and then return to the store to have the Paint Desk team mix up your colour of choice in an external paint such as Dulux Weathershield.

When you have your paint, you can apply it over the existing paint to cover up the patch.

Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Re: How to remove paint from rendered wall?

Yes, that's what I would have thought. I chose that patch from the Bunnings card. Still, there is a contrast between the 2 colours, not exactly the same. Is there any possible way to match the colours closely related?

Re: How to remove paint from rendered wall?

As it's a stippled and rough surface, even if you were to bring in a sample, we wouldn't be able to do a colour match on it @engrfaisal_896. Your best bet would be to pick up a half a dozen colour cards and compare them to the wall. However, unless you find the exact match, which is unlikely, there will be a difference in colour. You might need to paint the whole post in a similar colour to cover it.
