How can I remove water stains from water reticulation on glass French door panels.
The stains are a very dull colour but show the glass as being dirty.
I have tried CLR and The Pink Stuff paste, but no success.
Hello @Chris21
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about removing water stains on your French doors.
I suggest using Mr Clean Eraser Pad Block in combination with Bar Keepers Friend 595g Cleanser & Polish Powder. The general steps are to get the pad block wet but not soaking wet. Put some polish powder on the surface of the block and rub the surface until it turns into a soft paste. Rub the glass surface with the pad block vigorously especially in the areas where there is a high buildup.
Once the mixture begins to thin out add more polish powder and make sure to cover all the glass surface. Let it sit for two minutes or more and then rinse the surface while scrubbing with the pad block. My best advice is to make sure to keep the pad block moist to prevent it from wearing down. Remember never to use the pad block when its dry as it will damage the surface of the block.

Hi Eric,
Thanks for the advice.
I will buy and try over the weekend.
Thank you

Hi Eric,
I tried Bar Keepers, but brought the liquid as opposed to the powder. It worked very slightly...stains still very much there.
I will go get the powder as it will probably be slightly more abrasive than the liquid.
Chris
Ensure you try a test section first in an inconspicuous section, @Chris21. Both Magic Erasers and Bar Keepers Friend are abrasive, and using them too vigorously could damage the glass.
