Do you have some photos of the clothesline that you can share?
It seems likely that if one side of the clothesline doesn't fully stay up, then the mechanism that holds the clothesline in place has worn down, broken, or there is something preventing it from locking in place.
On the sagging side, can you inspect the location where the clothesline connects to the vertical support and take some photos?
With these photos, I can better help troubleshoot the issue.
Look for missing screws, springs or locking pins and compare with the other side of the clothesline.
