Many thanks for joining the Bunnings Workshop community. You have joined a friendly, helpful community of people who are happy to roll the sleeves up and get stuck into home improvement projects.
We try to encourage everyone to have a go and will happily provide the advice and support you need. If you need a hand with a project, please don’t hesitate to click on the Start a discussion button. We have plenty of community members keen to share their experience and knowledge.
If you need a tradesperson to assist you, customers in the Sydney metropolitan area can utilise the Bunnings Services Marketplace. The service by TooEzi will match your job with suitable tradies in your area. Alternatively, try a site like Airtasker or hipages.
We sometimes get members on Workshop asking for recommendations for tradespeople in their area, but Workshop is a community for people right across Australia and New Zealand so it is unlikely that there will be a member near you who can recommend someone suitable. It's best to go direct to a site that is designed for that purpose.
Feel free to reach out any time you need help getting the most from the Workshop site or have any feedback about how we can make Workshop more useful for you.

Hello @Chewy05
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your timber deck.
I suggest having a quick look at our best advice - How to find a tradesperson near you. I often suggest asking your friends and relatives as they might sometimes know a handyperson who does odd jobs. I also recommend posting your inquiry on Airtasker or Hipages. My best advice is to put as much detail as possible about what exactly you are after and the type of job you want done. By providing more information the tradesperson will be able to give you a more accurate quote.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Hello @Mariama8
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us.
Can you please tell us more about what item you want repaired? Can you share a photo of the part you want us to repair. Once we see what you want us to repair we will be able to offer advice.

Hi Everyone,
Great to be here with you all, i am not much of DIY guy, can do something pretty good when show correct way and pick things up easily. I would like to know does anyone do stuff like for example: i sadly live an a Public Housing unit. All the ways are brick interior, i would like to cover some walls with white ceramic or plasterboards. Such as screwing boards into brick walls etc, does anyone do this service?
Cheers
David
Hi @DavidCManly1st,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is wonderful to have you with us.
Unfortunately, as we are an Australia and New Zealand-wide community, it is unlikely you will find someone who is close to you geographically to carry out this kind of work. I'd suggest having a look at a service such as HiPages to find a plasterer who operates in your area. They would be the correct trade for this kind of work.
You'd also want to confirm with your housing provider that this is something you can do before going ahead, as it would require gluing and potentially drilling into the brick.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Jacob
Hey Jacob,
Cheers mate for the information etc, really appreciate the quick reponse too.
Cheers

Hi @DavidCManly1st,
Join a local community group.
(Maybe someone has already suggested that?)
I suggest a local Facebook group and a website like Nextdoor.
Here is a typical post:
I am just wondering that if I bought the Mimosa 3x3.6 Charcoal Palermo Gazebo - does anyone know who can help me put it up and at what cost. Sorry forgot to mention that I live in Bentley WA and intend purchasing the Gazebo from the Cannington site. Deb
Hello @Debbomac
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about putting together a gazebo.
I propose posting the job on Airtasker or Hipages. My best advice is to put in as much detail as possible about the project and where you want to install the gazebo. The more information you can provide the more likely you'll get a quick response. Please make sure to check their social media postings and that they can provide references.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
