What fence colour for black retaining wall?

 what would be the best colour to paint a fence that will go ontop of a black retaining wall?  The house is white rendered and white roof.

If you want the fence to blend in with the retaining wall, I suggest painting it in the same colour. But if you wish for a little bit of contrast a mid-level grey, but not a light grey or a plain grey colour. I propose visiting your local store and going to the paint department and looking at the colour sample cards and see which black and grey combo appeals to your preference.

my goal is to not make the backyard feel too closed in or small but also find a colour that matches well with a black retaining wall.

Hi @Naidoo021,

I think you'll find Dulux Domino and Monument are two of the most popular fence colours. They are great if you are planting in front of them - they really help make the greenery pop.
