What size nails for framing timber using a nail gun?

what size nails do i need for framing 90by 35 treated timber using a nail gun?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Onny. It's great to have you join us, and many thanks for your question on nail sizing.

Typically, you'd use Paslode 75 x 3.06mm Bright D Head Framing Nails for 35mm timber. Use two nails per joint. The other option is to use Climacoat screws, which would be my choice for exterior timber. Due to the moisture penetrating the timber you'll see a lot of expansion and contraction. It's best to use screws as they'll provide a more positive connection, whereas nails can be pulled out.
