I wanted to change the taps in my shower to quarter turn taps. I have attached the picture of current setup and taps I am thinking of installing. My house is 1960's concrete house that was built by the housing commission I believe. I have bought this house recently and I am trying to do things to make this house a bit modern to make it a bit comfortable for my kids ( they think their mother's house is much better, which I don't really disagree)
I am probably over estimating what I can do with my house. I have called plumber over airtasker to assess the situation and they said it is hard to do and it not a simple job. I wanted ask you guys if there's a solution at all for this situation.
Thank you so much.
Hello @nuwanr
One way to check for compatibility is to remove the existing spindle attached to your shower tap and putting it side-by-side with the ceramic spindle. On the condition that ceramic spindle is long enough and can still be locked in place with the locking sleeve attached then it will be possible to upgrade your wall taps. I propose looking at this guide - How to replace a tap washer. This will give you a general idea of how to remove your existing spindle allowing you to compare it to your ceramic unit.
