I see on Facebook that @CathM thinks your seedlings were planted too close together. I hope they still tasted yummy!

Last year I planted giant pumpkins.  We called them the alien plant because each night the the main stalk would grow 14 to 20 centimeters.  While I didn't get anywhere near the record pumpkin pictured (1,053 kilos), I did get one 100 kilos  which was fun.
