How to fill a planter box?

Please kindly advise, What l can use to fill the concrete planter box and what type of soil should l use?

Plants recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Based on its size, modern finish and what appears to be a full sun position (judging by the open surroundings), here are some plant suggestions that would suit a clean, contemporary look and thrive in many Australian climates:

Tall feature/back layer (for height and structure):

• Dwarf Date Palm (Phoenix roebelenii) – adds a tropical feel and some vertical interest.

• Buxus microphylla (Japanese box) – great for neat hedging or topiary shapes.

• Cordyline ‘Rubra’ – if you want some drama and colour in the leaves.

Mid-height fillers (for texture and body):
