Hi does anyone know how to fix patchy grass?
Hey @Justforkicks ,
Lift the mower height and ease back on how much you’re taking off each cut, as scalping the lawn is one of the quickest ways to end up with thin, patchy grass. Next, give the bare areas a good aerate with a fork to break up compacted soil and let air and water get down to the roots. One thing that worked surprisingly well on my own lawn was the toilet paper and seeds trick, soaking plain toilet paper and grass seeds in water until it breaks down, then spreading it over the thin spots. It helps lock in moisture and encourages new growth. Add in a deep soak once or twice a week and you should see it start filling back in over the next few weeks.
