Re: life on the rock plant

Hi @eileen04,

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is wonderful to have you with us.

What is your current watering schedule like? Where does your plant sit, and roughly how much light does it get per day?

Browning leaves like this are often due to an issue with watering, with both over- and underwatering being a possibility. To me, it looks like overwatering might be the issue, considering that the good leaves look healthy and not dry.

If the roots feel soggy or there’s a sour smell, root rot from overwatering could be the cause, in which case you should allow it to dry out before watering again. These plants only need their water topped up every so often, with a week or two being possible depending on conditions. I would only add water when all of the old water has dried up and the stone feels dry.

Ideally, you should also place it near a north- or east-facing window or a bright indoor location where it receives filtered light for most of the day.

Let me know what you think.

Jacob

Re: life on the rock plant

Hi I have the plant in my kitchen on the bench near the window it getting light through the window most of the day. I was watering it as the water dried up or every second day but now I think my partner is also watering it too so I think maybe to much water as you said. Thank you for your help.
