I brought some pansies from Bunnings and they had flowers on them for awhile then they just died what is the problem.
Hi @PJ49,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is wonderful to have you with us.
Pansies often decline because of heat stress. They prefer cool conditions and can struggle when temperatures rise. If they receive strong afternoon sun or experience a sudden warm spell, the flowers may fade and the plants can wilt or collapse soon after.
Watering issues are another frequent cause. Pansies like soil that stays evenly moist. Soil that dries out too quickly can stress the roots, while soil that stays too wet can cause root rot. Both extremes can lead to sudden plant failure.
Soil quality and nutrients can also play a role. Pansies grow best in loose, well-draining soil. Compacted soil or containers without proper drainage can trap water around the roots.
Plants that have been flowering heavily may also run low on nutrients and benefit from a light feed to stay healthy.
If you can upload some photos of your pansies, that would definitely help us to narrow down what has caused the issue and offer further guidance on how to proceed.
Let me know if you need a hand uploading images, I am happy to help if required.
Any other details you can provide would also help.
