Re: Lime Tree Worry

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @nikaz68. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question.

Overall, your plant looks rather healthy. How often do you water it, and when was the last time you gave it some citrus fertiliser?

You should remove the caterpillar. If it is the only one, then there is no need for concern. Wipe away the nest looking things on the leaves. Once again, if there are only a few, it is not something to worry about.

Re: Lime Tree Worry

@nikaz68,

What fertiliser are you applying every six to eight weeks, and how often are you watering?

Re: Lime Tree Worry

@nikaz68,

I'd be concerned if the leaves are dropping by the dozen, but it is encouraging to see that there appears to be plenty of foliage on the plant. Let me mention the knowledgeable @Adam_W to see if he can diagnose any issues.

Re: Lime Tree Worry

@nikaz68  Your lime tree looks really healthy !!! It’s the tiny grub / grubs having a really good chomp on the leaves.

They are chewing the leaves and eating the chlorophyll, leaving behind those window panes ( holes )

Remove and squash the grubs you can see. If needed , spray with a safe Caterpillar spray called Dipel 😀
